Frequently Asked Questions
About buying and exporting luxury vehicles from Germany and Europe
Process & Shipping
How do I buy a car in Germany and get it shipped to Dubai, Nigeria or Ghana?
We handle the full export process for you: vehicle sourcing or acquisition, inspection, export customs declaration, and shipping documentation. Once we receive your enquiry, we confirm the vehicle, agree on shipping (container, RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) or air freight), and prepare all paperwork so your car arrives ready for import clearance in Dubai, Nigeria, Ghana or elsewhere.
How does tax-free car export from Germany actually work?
Once a vehicle is purchased, we register it for export and prepare the customs export declaration. The vehicle is sold and exported without German sales tax being added to your price, and it's then transported to the port or destination, with all documents needed for import clearance included, so nothing gets held up on arrival.
How long does it take to get a car shipped from Germany to my country?
Timelines vary by vehicle and destination. Sourcing a specific model typically takes days to a few weeks; once purchased, export documentation and shipping preparation take around 1-3 days. Transit time then depends on the shipping method: about 1-2 days by air freight, or 3-6 weeks by sea freight depending on the destination port. Import clearance time is separate and depends on local customs.
Who pays customs duties and import tax when I buy a car from Germany?
We handle German export documentation and organise transport to your agreed port or destination. Import clearance, local duties and taxes at the destination are the responsibility of the buyer or their local customs agent. We're happy to provide all shipping documents needed to support that process.
What paperwork do I get when I buy a car that's being exported from Germany?
You receive the purchase and export invoice, proof of German deregistration, available service history, and shipping documents such as the bill of lading or air waybill once the vehicle is on its way. Import-specific paperwork required at your destination varies by country, so we recommend confirming requirements with your local agent in advance.
What happens once my car arrives at the port in my country?
Once the vehicle reaches the agreed destination port, our involvement in the logistics ends and responsibility passes to the buyer or their local agent, who handles import customs clearance, local duties, and onward transport or registration. We remain available by phone or email if any questions come up.
Do I need an agent in my country to receive the car?
In most cases, yes - since we handle export from Germany but import clearance happens locally, it's common (and often required by customs) to work with a local clearing agent or freight forwarder at the destination port. If you don't already have one, we're happy to point you toward the kind of contact you'll need.
Shipping Method & Cost
Can I ship a car from Germany by air instead of by sea?
Yes. While most vehicles are shipped by sea container or RoRo for cost reasons, air freight is available when speed matters more than cost - typically cutting transit time to 1-2 days instead of several weeks. Just let us know your timeline and we'll confirm the best shipping method and price for your destination.
What does it cost to export a car from Germany?
Total cost depends on the vehicle price, shipping method and destination - sea freight is generally more economical, while air freight costs more but is much faster. Since the vehicle is sold and exported without German sales tax being added to your price, that cost is already saved compared to a domestic purchase. Brands & Vehicles
Can I buy any car brand in Germany, or only specific makes?
We source German marques including Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Maybach, BMW, Audi and Porsche, British names like Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Range Rover, Italian marques such as Ferrari and Lamborghini, and hypercar makers such as Bugatti, Pagani and Koenigsegg. If a specific model isn't in stock, we actively search the German and European market for it.
Can I buy a Mercedes G-Class (G-Wagon) in Germany and export it to Nigeria or Dubai?
Yes - the G-Class is one of the most requested models we source for clients in Nigeria and the Gulf. We can search the German and European market for a specific G-Class specification (AMG G63, diesel or petrol, colour and year), handle the purchase, and arrange tax-free export and shipping to your destination.
Can I import a Rolls-Royce, Bentley or Bugatti from Germany to the Gulf or Africa?
Yes. We source ultra-luxury and hypercar marques such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Bugatti and Pagani directly from the German and European market, handle the purchase on your behalf, and arrange tax-free export documentation and shipping to any destination in the Gulf region, West Africa or elsewhere.
Where can I buy a Ferrari or Lamborghini in Germany for export?
We source Ferrari and Lamborghini models directly from the German and European market, through specialist dealers, private sellers and off-market contacts. Once we've found the right car, we handle the purchase, prepare the tax-free export documentation, and arrange shipping to your destination anywhere in the world.
See current examples of Ferrari and Lamborghini models we source off-market on our Off-Market Cars page.
Is it possible to buy a used Porsche or Audi in Germany and ship it abroad?
Yes - Porsche and Audi are among the German marques we source most often, from specialist dealers and private sellers across Germany and Europe. We handle inspection, purchase and tax-free export paperwork, and arrange shipping by sea or air to destinations including the Gulf, Africa and beyond.
Can I ask you to find a specific make and model that's not currently listed?
Yes, this is one of our core services. Tell us the make, model, specification and budget you're looking for, and we actively search the German and European market on your behalf - including private sellers and off-market sources - until we find a matching vehicle.
Do you also sell rare or limited-edition cars, like Bugatti, Pagani or Koenigsegg?
Yes. Alongside listed inventory, we have direct access to private sellers, specialist dealers and off-market sources across Germany and Europe, which is often how we locate rare or limited-production models such as Bugatti, Pagani or Koenigsegg on request.
See examples of models we regularly source off-market on our Off-Market Cars page.
Is every car inspected before it's shipped abroad?
Yes. Every vehicle is checked for condition, history and authenticity before it changes hands, regardless of destination. This applies to every purchase, direct or search order. For higher-value or rare vehicles, an independent third-party inspection can also be arranged on request.
Destination Markets
Does Veridian Automotive ship cars to the Gulf region (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar)?
Yes, the Gulf region is one of our core markets. We regularly export vehicles to the UAE (including Dubai), Saudi Arabia and Qatar, coordinating transport, customs paperwork and tax-free export so the vehicle arrives ready for local registration - whatever the brand or model you're looking for.
Can I buy a car in Germany and have it shipped to Nigeria or Ghana?
Yes, West Africa - especially Nigeria and Ghana - is a core export market for us, alongside Ivory Coast. We source and inspect the vehicle, handle German export documentation, and coordinate shipping to your destination port, so it's ready for import clearance on arrival.
Do you export cars to Morocco or other North African countries?
Yes, Morocco is one of the destinations we regularly export to, alongside our other African markets. We handle German export documentation and shipping to your agreed port, while import clearance and local registration are arranged by you or your local agent, as with any destination outside the EU.
Can you ship a car from Germany to Southeast Asia, like Cambodia?
Yes, we export to Southeast Asian markets including Cambodia as part of our worldwide reach. Since import rules and duties vary widely across the region, we handle the German export side and coordinate shipping to your port, while you or your local agent confirm and manage import requirements in advance.
Payment & Trust
Does Veridian Automotive offer financing for car purchases?
No, we currently sell vehicles on a direct-purchase basis only and do not offer financing or leasing. Full payment is typically required before the vehicle is shipped. If you need financing, we recommend arranging it independently with your own bank before confirming a purchase with us.
How do I pay for a car I'm buying from a dealer in Germany?
Payment is typically made by bank transfer, with exact terms - such as deposit and balance - agreed individually for each transaction before the vehicle is reserved and exported. We'll confirm the full payment process with you directly once you've decided on a vehicle.
Why buy a luxury car from Germany instead of buying locally?
German used cars are known for thorough maintenance records and mandatory technical inspections (TÜV) every two years, which makes vehicle history easier to verify than in many other markets. Combined with export pricing that doesn't include German sales tax, and direct access to Germany's large used-luxury-car market, this often means better value and more transparency than buying locally.
How can I verify that Veridian Automotive is a real, registered company?
Veridian Automotive is a registered business in Germany with a German VAT ID and a physical address in Albstadt, Baden-Württemberg - all listed on our Impressum (legal notice) page. You can also verify us directly by reaching out via phone, email or WhatsApp before committing to anything.
Can I see the car in person or by video before I buy?
Yes. On request, we can provide additional photos and a video walkaround of the vehicle before you commit to a purchase, and arrange an independent third-party inspection if you'd like extra assurance. If you're able to travel, you're also welcome to view the car in person in Germany before buying.
